Check listings against an approved record

How to catch overwritten copy, missing images and detached variants by comparing each live listing with the version you signed off.

Listings change after you publish them. Other sellers edit copy, images disappear and variants detach. You only see it when you compare the live listing with what you approved.

Keep one approved record per SKU

Store the title, bullets, description, images and variant links you signed off. Treat that record as the source of truth, and update it only through a review.

Compare on a schedule

Read the live listings on a schedule and compare each field with the approved record. Sort each difference into one of three groups: harmless, needs review, or needs a fix now.

Respect the marketplace's rate limits. A queue that spreads requests over the day is slower to build and much less likely to fail.

Draft the fix, then approve it

Draft each correction from the approved content, not from scratch. A person approves the fix before it goes back to the marketplace. Keep a history of what changed and what was published.

The catalogue agent case study shows this check running daily, with fixes waiting for approval.
