Franchise website rebuild
Website rebuild for a South African restaurant franchise. The store finder, menus, ordering and booking journeys track each step so the team can see where visitors drop off.
01. The challenge
Visitors need to find a store, read the menu, then order or book. The old site was slow, hard to update across locations and lacked analytics. The team could not tell which locations drove order clicks, where visitors abandoned booking, or whether menu changes helped.
02. The approach
I rebuilt the site around those visitor journeys and added analytics alongside the features. Location views, order clicks and booking clicks each send a typed event. The team can follow those steps by location as soon as the site launches.
03. What I built
A site on Vercel for finding locations, reading menus, ordering and booking
A national store finder with location details, menus and ordering links
PostHog events for location views, order clicks and booking clicks
Preview-deployment workflow so the franchise reviews every change on a live URL before it ships
04. The outcome
The rebuild is in progress on preview infrastructure. The conversion events are already reporting, so the team can review location views, order clicks and booking clicks before launch.
